Bifidobacteria are largely present in the large intestine. They help to mediate carbohydrate fermentation in the large intestine and contribute to the production of important short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs).
Although they are the most abundant genus present in the guts of healthy infants, Bifidobacteria concentrations decrease as individuals age, with greatest declines observed in the elderly.

Suggested Use: Take 1 capsule, 1-3 times a day, or as directed by your health care practitioner. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications.

Caution:

Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have fever, vomitting, bloody diarrhea or severe abdominal pain.
Consult a health care practitioner and discontinue use if symptoms of digestive upset (eg. diarrhea) occur, worsen or persist beyond 3 days.
If you have an immune-compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, patients undergoing long-term corticosteroid treatment), do not use this product.
